After reading all the poor reviews/ratings I wasn't expecting the britannia hotel to be anything great, i booked it simply because it was right next to the national express coach station which we needed to head for the following day, I booked a double room with a window and upon check in with Jazeel he was extremely polite and upgraded us to an executive suite with a 4 poster bed, we couldn't believe our luck, it was a birthday to remember for my partner, the hotel is very grand with lots of history, the room was beautiful and probably had more space than a London apartment yes it was that big, staff were fantastic, not sure why it's had so many bad reviews, I would definitely stay again, big thank you to Jazeel on reception

It was the 2nd time in this hotel and the pillows were very firm I like a soft pillow so I bought myself one, obviously some people like a firm pillow 1st time in the hotel the pillow was fine..the hotel can be noisy I thought first time was a one off with noisy neighbour but was the same this time round,if you are someone who likes to sleep and not here slamming doors and teens hanging about carrying on in landing at from 1/30 till 2/30 then it's fine..I suffer from anxiety and theses things make me uncomfortable.apart from that it's a lovely hotel with lovely staff and facilities,I just like a quiet hotel at night

It was a perfect location for meeting family in several locations, walking and tram connections and exploring all the interesting parts of the city. Canals, prison, Arnside, Chinese Quarter, Gay Village, Arenas, and 5 min walk from Piccadilly Station, with great bus access to farther flung places like Stretford etc. Bus and tram stops pretty much outside this hotel. Staff were great - very friendly and helpful.

The Wi-Fi was excellent, especially the upload speed. I upgraded from a twin to a family room at check-in with added breakfast, room was huge, two double beds and had plenty of power outlets, Wi-Fi was free in the room. Breakfast was decent. Great location, great price. My original room was £114 and the upgrade was something like £18. I had no real problems at all, very surprised/happy.

The historic yet beautiful deco sets you back in time so definitely romantic and at the same time practical. The staff offered us an upgrade herself which was so kind of here and we got to experience the suite room which was amazing . When I come back I'm coming back to that x loved it. One side my hubby fell asleep whilst the other half of the room I marked my students work. Hehe
